William Thew wrote "Poems on various subjects, chiefly theatrical." published in 1825. The link I've placed in Citation below is to a Google Book that shows the cover depicts the image of William that is in the NPG. In the section "Life of the Author" William states that he was born in Ipswich on 6 November 1794, the youngest of six children of a local lawyer. I hope this helps and would be grateful if you could send any more information you find out about William to [email protected]
