Andrew Raymond Jeffery

I remember the day very well.
Mathew Lewis 'recruited' us from the London Gay Scene although I did know Andrew Shanahan, Mathew's partner from way back in 1985 when I first arrived in London.
It was a long tiring day for us all and after many hours of posing and pushing and shoving to arrange us all, we broke for lunch. As we donned some clothes to be a little more decent to eat the sandwiches and drinks provided I casually said to one of the other guys called Russell (next to me on the right)
'Mathew will have us swinging from the rafters next'.
On returning to the set low and behold there were two long thick ropes draped over one of the churches' rafters and Mathew said 'There you go Andy!
As you and Russ are the same height, you are going to have your wish.'
The next minute we were tied at the ankles and being hauled up upside down and photographed with Pam Hogg pushing trough us like walking through an abattoir of hanging raw meat.
Andrew Shanahan, I believe, may still have a copy of the photo which was in a Pam Hogg feature in I.D Magazine that year.
