Maggie Snowling

(1955-), Professor of Psychology

A trained clinical psychologist and president of St John's College, Oxford, Snowling has made significant contributions to the study of dyslexia with research focusing on children's learning and language. Her work is motivated by an interest in identifying the nature and causes of children's literacy difficulties and the development of resources and approaches to improve them. Maggie Snowling is a Fellow of the British Academy and a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences. In 2016, Snowling was appointed CBE for services to science and the understanding of dyslexia.
