Charlie Brooker

Brooker, known for his acerbic and satirical writing style, studied Media Studies at London Polytechnic (now University of Westminster). From 2000-2010 he wrote the television review column Screen Burn for the Guardian, which he developed into a publication in 2004, and the BBC Four television series Screenwipe (2006-2013). Brooker's earlier writing for television included The 11 O'Clock Show (2000) and Brass Eye (2001). He created the surreal and darkly satirical television series Black Mirror (2011-2013), which won an International Emmy for Best TV Mini-Series in 2012.
