Ding Ing-Ong
(1873-1951), Assistant Bishop of FukienSitter in 1 portrait
Born in Shangtang Village, Gutian County, Fujian Province. He graduated from the St. John's University in Shanghai where he received his Ph.D. He worked as a Pastor and a school teacher at Shengxue College and Methodist School of the Episcopal Church. He was ordained as Deputy Bishop in the Chinese Episcopal Diocese of Fujian in 1922 and retired in March, 1940. In 1950, he attended the Anglican Episcopal Church in the Fujian Province to mark the centenary of the founding of the church, and was present for a pastoral group photo. He died in Fuzhou province in 1951.
