This lady is my great aunt, her sister Rose was my mother's mother. In the 50s I would stay at her house in Grascious Pond Surrey, a lovely old manor with round pool. When she got older she moved into cottage in the grounds. She would sit still and tame little finches and wrens to land on her arms. I could take an old army rifle out on the moors, she had one of the first Minis and take me up to London. We had very impressive lunch with Boris Karloff out on his terrace. I had not seen Frankenstein being about 12. All I can remember is the wicker chairs. I crashed her Mini going down Steep near Beadels school outside Petersfield. Her daughter Henrietta, my godmother nearby at Priors Dean cared for her until death. Not in Hollywood.
