Michael Sevier was an artist. In 1924 he exhibited a nude study in Dublin's Mills' Hall, in an exhibition organized by Crampton Walker. The hall was used as a night club and evening meeting space, so there was a call for the removal of the nude from the exhibition. However, the other artists threatened all sorts of action if the painting was removed, and so it was agreed to show the work during the day, and to remove it at night so as not to upset Mr Mill's night time customers.
