Surgeon and mp for Cork. Brother of major Kearns Deane Tanner and by him of silent movie director William D Taylor whose murder in 1922 remains unsolved.( several other actors including George Brent/ George Brennan Nolan and John Loder/ John Muir Lowe, were linked to the troubles in Ireland)
