Lloyd-Roberts worked, often undercover, throughout Eastern Europe. Her films on human rights issues have included in-depth reportage of India's child brides, the worldwide market in illegal body parts and Russia's new Siberian gulags. Lloyd-Roberts's intrepid commitment to reporting has resulted in a jail sentence issued in China and deportation from Iran as well as professional admiration and an MBE awarded in 2002.
