Born in Birmingham to Jamaican parents, Terence Wilson, better known by his stage name Astro, was a musician and rapper. As a former member of the band UB40 he enjoyed phenomenal success with over 50 singles entering the UK charts. After leaving the band in November 2013, Astro, together with former members Ali Campbell and Mickey Virtue, announced plans to reform the group. They continued to record and tour up until Astro's death.
