Billie Whitelaw

Whitelaw began acting on stage in 1950 but came to prominence in the 60s as a leading lady of theatre, television and films. Most often associated with Samuel Beckett appearing in Play (1964), Not I (1973), Footfalls (1976) and Happy Days (1979). Films include Charlie Bubbles (1968) for which Whitelaw won the British Film Academy Award.
