Mark Ravenhill

One of the most controversial and successful British playwrights to emerge in the 1990s, Ravenhill was part of a wave that became known as 'in yer face theatre'. His notoriety was established with his controversial debut play Shopping & Fucking, which premiered at the Royal Court in 1996. Ravenhill regularly returns to the Royal Court to develop new work.
