Actress, dancer and singer. She won most promising newcomer award for her part as Gladys in the Bob Fosse choreographed The Pajama Game (1956). In the following year Seal played Esmeralda in Camino Real and Lola in Damn Yankees (both 1957). This was followed by a two year run as the title role in Irma La Douce (1958-60) on Broadway and London for which she won a Tony Award.
