(1913-1988), Actress; former wife of Constant Lambert, and later wife of Peter Hole

Sitter in 9 portraits
The first wife of British composer Constant Lambert who through his work was surrounded by artistic and creative people. She was considered to be extraordinarily beautiful with a rare and exotic look, though her heritage is uncertain. They married in 1931 soon after they met. She signed her name on the marriage certificate as 'F. Kaye' and gave her age as '18', though she may have been younger. The marriage was not a fulfilled one, she later divorced her husband in the aftermath of his passionate affair with Margot Fonteyn which began in 1937 when Fonteyn was seventeen years old. Their only child, Christopher (born in 1935) known as 'Kit', stayed with his mother. Kit Lambert became a record producer, music promoter and manager, most notably for the famous rock group The Who.
