Gwendoline Brogden
(1891-1973), Actress and singerSitter in 3 portraits
Brogden was an actress and singer in musical comedies and light operas. In 1914 she appeared in the revue The Passing Show at the Palace Theatre, London, and sang I'll Make A Man Of You, which was taken up as a music hall recruiting song. She recorded several popular songs, including Roses from the revue Bric-à-Brac, in which she appeared alongside Gertie Millar at the Palace Theatre, London, 1915.
