I think the subject may be Timothy Abraham Curtis (1786-1857), 3rd son of Sir William Curtis (1st baronet), of the banking house Robarts, Curtis, Were & Co which became Robarts, Lubbock & Co.
TA Curtis was a partner in Garry & Curtis, Russia Merchants
He was a Director of the Bank of England 1820-1841; Deputy Governor 1834-1837 and Governor 1837-1839
He was also involved as a director of a number of other companies, including the Australian Agricultural Company 1824-1831 (which is my particular interest.
