Susan Hiller(1940-), Artist

Born in the U.S.A. Hiller moved to London in 1967. She practised as an anthropologist before starting to make art in mixed media. Her solo show Photography into Art was at Camden Arts Centre in 1972, and her many one person exhibitions include the Serpentine in 1976 and a retrospective at Tate Liverpool in 1996. Other works have been in video, PSI Girls 1999 and sound, Witness 2000.
