Sitter in 2 portraits
Barrister and patron of the arts. A close friend of the artists George Clausen, Alfred Rich and James Pryde and later Meredith Frampton. His encouragement made a substantial contribution to Winifred's career. Their marriage lasted 29 years and together they travelled to Leipzig where Radford studied singing with Elena Gerhardt and made her concert debut in 1930 in a Lieder recital.
