This from a 1939 journal by an Australian newspaper woman, London, MONDAY - July 24th,
"In to Pearl Freeman photographer, in response to letters from her - something for nothing at last."
She and reporter Margaret ‘Mag.’ Gilruth were covering fashion and the Royals, Duke and Duchess of Kent and Queen Mary (Queen Mother) at the time.

Pearl Freeman photographed my Grandfather the Baron de Piro who represented Malta at the time of the Coronation of George VI. She also produced some charming pictures of his daughter my Aunt Mona, who had travelled with him. Pearl Freeman asked my parents in 1953 if they would like her to photograph them but having already been photographed by Baron Studios and especially because they were too busy on the day suggested, they declined (what a pity!). If you wish me to send reproductions of P.F.s photos in my possession I would be happy to do so.

A Pearl Freeman photographed my grandmother, Eve Balfour, for the purpose of a sculpture probably in the 1920s or 30s. We have the photo and a photo of the finished sculpture. Would be very interested to know more about it.
