I worked in the light music sector as a violinist/viola player and enjoyed working with Geoff Love on many occasions. He was a great conductor / arranger. His arrangements even brought a smile to the faces of 'hardened and seasonsed'session players. I look back on those years with great affection; I still catch up with some of the albums and tracks on Spotify ... Love is Blue.

Geoff Love, started work as a motor mechanic, in a garage based in Todmorden, West Yorkshire. He was an excellent musician, and joined a local dance band from Rochdale, Freddy Platt. I know this because in the mid 1980's, Geoff came to my home to talk about his time with this band. This was used in a documentary I made about the "Rochdale Carlton" ballroom in Rochdale.
He was a very likeable man, and a great musician, so it wasn't long before other more famous bands headhunted him. A really nice man.
