Born Marion Elliott, the front-woman of England's finest Punk popstars X-Ray Spex was inspired to form her own band after seeing the Sex Pistols. Poly assembled X-Ray Spex in 1976. The band hit the Top 30 in 1978 with The Day The World Turned Day-Glo and Identity. Despite the acclaimed Germ Free Adolescents Poly split the Spex in 1979 and converted to Krishna and produced two solo cult classics Translucence (1980) and Gods and Goddesses (1986).
