Fashion model and muse. In 1962, after working as a hairdresser, Boyd began a career in modelling and worked with the leading photographers of the day, including David Bailey, Terence Donovan and Eric Swayne. In 1964 she met George Harrison on the set of A Hard Day's Night (1964), they married in 1966 and she inspired his song 'Something' (1969). Boyd later married Eric Clapton (b.1945) whose song 'Layla' (1970) she also inspired. She has had a number of successful photography exhibitions and published her autobiography Wonderful Today: George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Me (2007).
