Kenneth David Kaunda
(1924-2021), President of Zambia 1964-1991Sitter in 9 portraits
Former politician and first president of Zambia (1964-1991). Known as KK, he was at the forefront of the struggle for independence from British rule. He founded the Zambian African National Congress, later becoming the leader of the United National Independence Party. When Zambia gained its independence in 1964, he became the first president.
