Clare Curzon

(1922-2010), Novelist

Born in Hastings in 1922 as Eileen-Marie Buchanan. She studied French and Psychology at King's College London and started writing novels in the 1960s. She wrote prolifically under the pseudonym Clare Curzon and also as Rhona Petrie. She is the author of over 40 published titles and created the characters 'Mike Yeadings' and 'Angus Mott', Superintendent and Sergeant of the Thames Valley Police. She lived in Buckinghamshire and was married to Jimmy Duell. She died in 2010 and was due in the same year to have a book published posthumously, indicating she was productive until the end.
