Farshid Moussavi

(1965-), Architect, educator and author

Architect, born in Iran. Moussavi Co-founded the Foreign Office of Architects. She trained at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, the London Bartlett School of Architecture and Dundee University. She worked with Rem Koolhaas prior to setting up the FOA with Alejandro Zaera Polo. Her most famous project was the Yokohama Port Terminal in Japan. The practice played a central creative role in the master planning team for the London 2012 Olympics Park. Her practice was also chosen as part of the United Architects team, to submit a design for the World Trade Centre, in the aftermath of 9/11.
