Patrick Cox moved to London from his native Canada in 1983 to study shoe design at Cordwainers Technical College in the East End. He launched his first collection to much acclaim just two years later, and in 1991 opened his first shoe boutique. Since then Patrick Cox shoes have become a globally recognised brand. He has won many awards, and examples of his designs are held in museums around the world.
