Lee White is my great grandmother... She had my grandfather Charles White Adams around 1903. He was raised by Lee White's mother in Seattle Washington. Lee White came from an upper class family.

In her various applications for passports Lee White consistently gives her place and date of birth as Louisiana and 26 March 1880, rather than 26 March 1886 as stated in Who's Who in the Theatre. She married in 1918 the American actor, singer and songwriter, Clay Smith (Henry Clay Smith). She died in Washington, D.C. on 26 November 1927 following an operation.

I also have an original signed postcard of this portrait. I’m not sure whether this will be of interest to her great granddaughter or other admirers. I will be posting this on eBay along with several more signed threat request stage actor cards
