Yvonne Fitzroy was a close friend of Sir Victor Sassoon (1881-1961), who bought the house for her at Aldershot. Fitzroy lived there first with Evelyn Wellington (d. 1939) and then with Jennifer Davidson, according to Sir Victor's diaries.
Fitzroy wrote several books: With the Scottish Nurses in Roumania (1918); Courts & Camps in India (1925); A Canadian Panorama (1929).
