As far as I can remember, Norman Eales was a photographer at Vogue in Hanover Square. My then fiancee, Barry Weller, was his assistant, and both Norman and Barry took photos of me. That would have been in the mid-60's.

Norman Eales was a fashion photographer working in Studio Five in Shepherds Market in the Sixties. He could create GLAMOUR out of almost anything.... I loved him, he was the photographer I liked working with most when I was Young Fashion Editor of the Sunday Times in the early Sixties... He should have been much more famous than he was but he worked mainly for Cosmopolitan magazine rather than Vogue and half way though his career he went to live in California....he loved the sun and the open air and the sea.

Norman Eales worked for my father photographer John Cole who ran Studio Five in Mayfair London between 1956-68. Norman was his assistant before he became a photographer in his own right.
