Allan Bradley

(1960-), Director, The Sanger Centre (for genome research)

Scientist specialising in the human genome. Bradley studied at the University of Cambridge (1981-7). Since 1987 Bradley has been Professor at the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. Awards and research posts include that of Searle Scholar (1988-91) and Leukaemia Society Scholar (1992-7). The Bradley Laboratory at the Sanger Institute, Cambridge researches the function of genes using the mouse as a model genetic system.
