James Cracknell

Rower, born in Sutton, Surrey. Made his international debut in 1989 at the World Junior Championships. With Matthew Pinsent, Tim Foster and Steve Redgrave won Gold medals at the World Rowing Championships in 1997, 1998, and 1999. The team went on to achieve Gold at the 2000 Olympic Games. With Matthew Pinsent, Cracknell won the men's coxless pairs title in the 2002 World Championships in Seville, setting a world record. Gold medallist in the Athens 2004 Olympics for the men's coxless fours, with Matthew Pinsent, Ed Coode and Steve Williams.
