Racehorse trainer. Derby winners include Shergar (1981), Shahrastani (1986) and Kris Kin (2003). In total his victories include twenty-two English and Irish Classics and races worldwide including the Dubai World Cup (1997) and the Hong Kong Vase (2000). He has almost 200 horses in his care and is one of three flat trainers employed by the Queen. Knighted in 1998 for service to tourism in his native Barbados.
