Rhys Ifans

Born in the Welsh town of Ruthin in Denbighshire, Ifans moved to London at the age of eighteen to train as an actor. His brother, Llyr Evans, is also an actor, and they starred together in the 1997 British film Twin Town. Subsequent film roles include the comic character Spike in Notting Hill (1999), William Dobbin in Vanity Fair (2004) and Colin in Chromophobia (2005). He has also appeared in many Welsh programmes (for Welsh-language channel S4C) and has performed at the National Theatre, London, and the Royal Exchange, Manchester.
