Richard George Caborn
(1943-), Politician; MP for SheffieldSitter in 1 portrait
Minister of State for Department for Culture, Media and Sport, Caborn was educated at Sheffield Polytechnic and was elected MP for Sheffield, Central in 1983. His first Cabinet position was as Minster for the Regions, Regeneration and Planning (1997-9). In 2001 he was made Minister of Sport and Minister for Tourism in 2003. Took part in the successful bid to hold the 2012 Olympics in London.
