I was formerly (and my son is now) the owner of a property in Scotland, called Millfaid, close to Drymen, Stirlingshire. The title deeds of that property provide some details of previous owners, including Sir Robert Alistair Murray jointly with James Ian Murray. In 1973 the two Murrays (who were possibly brothers?) passed Millfaid to Sir Hugh Fraser (then living nearby), and in 1978 Sir Hugh sold the property to me.
Presumably Sir Robert Alistair Murray is the same person as shown in your portrait.
