Col. Sir George Hastings MD VD son of George Hastings of Terrington, Norfolk, acc to Kelly's Handbook 1928, born 1851, married in 1878 Alice daughter of the painter WP Frith and was knighted 1910. He was the creator of the gardens at The Courts, Holt, Wiltshire, 1902-5, acc to Country Life 21.10.2015, but only there for three years. By 1928 his addresses were 16 Bolton St, W.I. and Cross Deep, Twickenham;.
