Colonel Sir Neville Fitzgerald Chamberlain was elected Captain of Muskerry Golf Club, Carrigrohane, County Cork on the 15th October 1907. He was 51 years of age.
He remained Captain until 1st May 1908.. This was the First Year of the fledgling golf club and He was First Captain of Muskerry Golf Club .The club celebrated 100 years of Golf in May 1907.
These facts are recorded in Muskerry Golf Club's first Minute Book.
The first elected President of Muskerry Golf Club in 1907 was Sir George Colthurst of Blarney Castle and Blarney Stone fame.
