He is/was my great uncle on my fathers side. He served as a captain in WW1 in the Royal Engineers at Mesopotamia and Gallipoli. He later became Director of Armaments prior to WW2 and received the CBE from the Queen (which I have) Vic later on took the position of Chairman of Lansing Bagnall in Basingstoke. He passed away in 1971 and we later found out he was due to be knighted for services during the war. His wife, Aunt Kath survived him by 22 years passing away in 1993.
