Actor. Alfred Molina was born in 1953 in London and studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He made his film debut in Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), and has appeared in many box office hits including Prick Up Your Ears (1987), Chocolat (2000) and Frida (2002), as the artist Diego Rivera. In The Da Vinci Code (2006) he plays Bishop Aringarosa. His stage appearances include Tennessee Williams' The Night of the Iguana and David Mamet's Speed the Plow at the National Theatre. Molina was nominated for Tony Awards in 1998 and 2004.
