Harriet Vernon ( stage name ) is my great great grandmother on my mother's side of the family.
Her real name was Harriet Maria Whitehouse and she married my great great grandfather to become Harriet Maria Gillett.
She was born in Lambeth London on October 9th 1858, and died July 11 1923 of bronchial pneumonia at Doncaster infirmary.
She features in my family tree and I would be glad to send more info if required.

My grandmother’s name was Annie Louise Whitehouse and Harriet was her aunt on her father (George) side. Harriet was the mistress of Lord Costello. George moved to Walthamstow in East London where he and Annie had 11 children.
