Thomas Coats was the brother of Lilian Maud Glen Coats and the uncle of Lady Anne Rhys (nee Wellesley) who were both photographed by Madame Yevonde as part of the Goddesses series. Lady Alexandra Haig, whom he photographed, was another one of the Goddesses.
