Self-taught portrait and advertising photographer, Casson had a studio at King's Road, Chelsea during the 1930s, and contributed to journals including Photographie. She is particularly known for her Surrealist photographs, including her double-exposure work 'Accident' (1935), reproduced in Helmut Gernsheim's survey Creative Photography: Aesthetic Trends 1839-1960 (1962).

One of her paintings on Indian Art is the cover page design for Government College Miscellany which started in 1923. G.K. Chettur, the then Principal of the college who studied in New College Oxford University was in touch with her.
