There are two Jeremiah Dysons who were father and son. If the dates are right then this is the son. He was less sucessful than his father and was never the clerk to the House of commons but only an assistant I think. His Father was known as "Mungo" (a ubiqutous slave in a play current a the time) and depicted as such in cartoons by Townshend. The son is refered to in various correspondence inc I think that of Jane Austen.
