British singer born in Willesden, North London. A chance encounter with the keyboardist Tony "Gad" Robinson who heard her impromptu singing at a recording studio led to her introduction to Jamaican-born Alton Ellis who was living in London and looking for a female vocalist. She recorded I Do Love You and That's What Friends Are For in 1978 but is best known for her 1979 lovers rock hit Silly Games which reached number 2 in the UK Singles Chart and led to an appearance on the BBC's cult music programme 'Top of the Pops'. As an actress, she played the character Angel in the Channel 4's sitcom No Problem! created by the Black Theatre Co-operative. She is credited as a producer on Missing You recorded by Aswad
