I have no evidence that this is a portrait of Eleanor Temple,but if it is then you might like to know that this lady was buried in St Peters church Stantonbarry, now ruined and her gravestone can be seen in the nearby St James church New Bradwell. The following text is written around the perimeter:
Here lyeth the body of Dame Elianor Tempel Relict of Sr Peter Temple Kt. She was the eldest daughter of Sr Tymothy Tyrrill of Oakely in this County Kt. by Elianor daughter of Sr William Kingsmill of Hampshire. She departed this life May ye 24th 1671 in the 57 year of her age.
