Mike Sarne (né Michael Scheuer)

Born Michael Scheuer, Sarne first came to prominence with his hit comedy record Come Outside (1962). He appeared in the Peter Brook directed musical The Perils of Scobie Prilt. In 1963 he also starred opposite Rita Tushingham in Basil Dearden's film A Place To Go. Sarne gained notoriety as a film director for Joanna (1968) and in Hollywood directing Raquel Welch, Mae West, Farrah Fawcet in Myra Breckinridge (1970), based upon the book by Gore Vidal. He directed a documentary on the Glastonbury rock festival (1995).
