I note on the first portrait (NPG Ax 50773) that the name Regd. Courtenay is written. Why would you think that the portrait is of Bishop Aubrey George Spencer (1795-1872) and not Bishop Reginald Courtenay (1813-1906)? Both were Bishops of Jamaica. Is there some other internal or documentary evidence?
