I believe this may be the barrister George Condy, who was also a 'Times' journalist, playwright and joint proprietor of the radical 'Manchester and Salford Advertiser' newspaper. If it is this person, he was born in Ireland c.1787 and moved to Manchester in 1826 after acceptance at Gray's Inn. He was a campaigner for factory childrens' rights and supporter of the Anti-Corn Law League. He died in Manchester on 4 Nov 1841.
