Detmar Blow

Art dealer. Blow left his career as a barrister in 1998 to set-up the gallery Modern Art in Shoreditch with his late wife, fashion muse, Isabella Blow, and Stuart Shave. Modern Art became one of the most successful contemporary art galleries in the East End of London in the late 1990s. In 2005 they set up Blow de la Barra, a gallery that later evolved into Blow111 forming a partnership with Rui Brito from the Lisbon based Galeria111. Blow currently lives between Lisbon, London and Gloucestershire and is writing a biography of Isabella.
