Rt. Hon. Arthur Algernon Capell (sometimes spelt Capel) 6th Earl of Essex (1803-1892) was a major landowner and heir of Richard Earl of Ranelagh.
He owned most of the Town of Roscommon, Co. Roscommon, Ireland, and surrounding areas which he had inherited from Richard Jones (1641-1712) First Earl of Ranelagh. He also owned lands in Navan, Co. Meath Ireland.
